About this tool

Strip photo metadata locally: Decode and re-encode a selected photo to PNG locally, dropping EXIF/XMP-style container metadata.

Use cases

  • Create a metadata-clean image copy before uploading.
  • Normalize screenshots or photos into PNG without source metadata.
  • Use local browser encoding instead of a remote cleaner.

How to use it

  1. Select a local file as input.
  2. Click Run and wait for processing.
  3. Download or copy the output.

Notes

  • Runs locally in your browser; files are not uploaded to MakeTool servers.
  • Local-only processing with no network required.
  • The output is a new cleaned copy; the original photo file is not modified.
  • HEIC/HEIF support depends on the browser’s local image decoder.
